Pa Samuel Ibhahe Ebhodaghe was a gentleman and loving uncle to us. Uncle Sam, as we fondly call him, was humble, kind hearted, warm and always ready to welcome us. He always made out time for family occasions, no matter the distance. Uncle, you lived a great life and we are thankful for your time on earth. You are sorely missed.

Papa! I was so elated to hear you speak my language and you also know my village. It was pleasing to my soul to know that I have another Daddy through my friend, Maxie. We know you are resting well 💕 in God's bossom. This gives us great joy. For your training and prayers towards us all, we will continue to uphold the standard of love you set for us till we meet you again in Heaven. Rest on Papa!

Papa, your demise came to me as a rude shock. You were such a good father,i could remember when i and Eni were in secondary school, papa was always very cheerful, always smiling. I never saw him angry. He was such a kind gentleman and God fearing as well. He loved his family and children. Papa may your gentle soul rest in peace. I pray that the lord strengthens the family he left behind and fill this vacuum in Jesus name. Amen.

The sudden and heartbreaking loss of my dear Brother has left me in a state of profound grief and sorrow. I remember how you drove all the way from Onitsha to Cameroon , you are the most careful driver I have ever seen( I was your opposite), you will tell me, Udo, 'seh 'fekele 'oko' I spoke to you the very day of your dismissal, and you told me, 'oko' am fine, eh worry'. The very thought of commemorating your life with a Tribute this year seemed utterly inconceivable. We conversed every day until your final moments, leaving a void in my heart that seems impossible to fill. I wish this was merely a terrible nightmare from which I could awaken. Your kind, compassionate, and amiable nature deeply impacted all those who had the privilege of knowing you. My big Bro, Although you are no longer physically present, your influence and memory will endure through the passage of time. May you find eternal peace and tranquility, dear Brother. Rest in peace Brotherrrr( like I fondly call you) Patrick Udo Ebhodaghe.

Uncle, the news of your demise came as huge shock to me, as I’m sure to everybody else. You definitely left an indelible mark during your time here on earth with the care and support you rendered to close and extended family members. I have fond memories of summer holidays spent in Warri which typically begins with you taking days of work to drive to Ishan to pick us up. It’s on these trips that I started to appreciate good music and road trips. We used to blast Andy Kim (Rock me gently etc…) and your huge collection of Sonny Okosun’s music during the trips. As I’ve grown older, I’ve also embraced this practice when I go on road trips as well. I’m also going to miss your great command of the King’s language. You speak it better than some of us that had the opportunity to extend our education to higher institutions. Anyone who hears you speak would be hard-pressed to believe that you were not a product of higher educational institution. This is a testament to your supreme intellect. Uncle, your transition also means that I will never hear that Morgan Freeman like voice call out your nickname for me.. “Emma Wanta”. I wish you were around longer so we can reminisce about these memories and everything else. However, God knows best, and we can’t question HIS will. You will be sorely missed, Uncle. Rest in Peace until we meet again on resurrection morning. Emma Ebodaghe
