Grandpa was a pillar of strength, wisdom, and kindness and left a profound impact on all who were fortunate enough to know him. His presence illuminated our lives,to us he was more than just a grandfather; he was a beacon of love and guidance. His gentle words and warm smile could effortlessly brighten anyone's day. He possessed a rare combination of resilience and compassion, facing life's challenges with unwavering grace and humility. Grandpa was a man of integrity, he lived his life by example, teaching us the importance of honesty, hard work, and the genuine love of God he so effortlessly demonstrated . One of the many things I loved the most about him was his in-built spirit of excellence. We thank God for such a beautiful life he lived and we shall see him soon at the rapture. We love you Grandpa. A TRIBUTE TO MY DEAREST UNCLE. I miss you dearly my uncle with a golden heart,a great man, and a father. Remembering those beautiful moments while growing up as a little boy under his watch really makes me want to cry endlessly but a million tears can not bring him back because I have cried. But what gives me joy is that he left his footprint with glory in the sand of time. He will always be remembered for his love and kindhaertedness for his nephews and nieces by helping them to make their dreams come through. My dear Uncle Sam had a great soul that makes anyone and everyone around him at all times happy and such a soul never dies but brings people together and that is what we are going to miss. I will keep on doing the good things he taught me, like neatness, timekeeping, care and respect for anyone who deserves it e.t.c. These are what I will surely cherish forever. Having him as an uncle was a great gift from God. I WILL ALWAYS MISS HIM. AMOS OKO-OBOH

A Well Deserved Tribute to Pa. Samuel Ibhahe Ebhodaghe. My dearest uncle, I know that one must go one day. Despite this knowledge, I still find it extremely difficult to convince myself you’re gone indeed. Writing this as a tribute on your funeral feels like a violation of something sacred. It is the same reason that makes announcing your passing come across as rude. Uncle, in all honesty, you belong to the group of people any sane person would gladly pray to have around him forever. However, the law of our existence states that one who comes here must return eventually. Why would anyone want to have you around forever? It is because your life was an exemplary one in every sense of the word. Growing up, I carefully watched you successfully play different roles in my life and that of my siblings. To say the least, you were a true uncle, a father, a life coach, a brother, a motivator, a beacon of hope… Like the proverbial piece of yam that satisfied the whole world, you generously, and selflessly offered your shoulders for all of us to rest our heads. It didn’t matter what event in our lives beat us so hollow to need that help, you always offered your assistance, because you were not the condemning type. You were an epitome of humility. This humility made it impossible for you to paint anyone in unsavoury colours. You had so much respect for the dignity of the human being. Thank you, sir. You were transparent in your dealings, loving in your ways, caring in your attitude towards us all, and, sir, you were a true human being, an endearing angel through whom we all felt the goodness and love of the Source Himself. Yours in the light of these is an inimitable legacy, a legacy that material things can not afford. Of course, right now we all mourn your exit, but we won't stain your funeral and memory by forgetting that you were a divine blessing to our family. You were rare, and that rarity is what gives an acute sense of loss as you are no more with us. It truly hurts,.but we are forever grateful that you were such an uncommon soul of love! Brothers and sisters, passers by, ladies and gentlemen, join us as we honor our great uncle, father, brother, Papilo and follow after his foot steps, this our very own general, if you may! Uncle, rest in power, au revoir mon uncle bien aime’, Okinbue!

Papa, words fail me to put in writing your legacy. I remember so many happy memories of you at Ovdje Street. I remember how you use to love reading your newspaper and how after eating, the children (me included) will come say, "thanks sir" and saying the same words to mama when she was around. I remember when you took Blessing and I for an exam in Asaba and introduced me as your daughter. I remember, how you took an active role at my wedding, making sure it was successful and in ensuring over the years that my husband and I are fine. Until we meet again, I will miss you, papa. Rest in the Lord. ❤️

With heavy hearts but unwavering faith, we come together to honor and celebrate the life of our beloved Uncle Samuel Ebhodaghe popularly called Uncle Sam. As a dear brother to my mother, Uncle Sam was a pillar of strength, wisdom, and unwavering love in our family. His life was a testament to his deep Christian faith and his commitment to living a life that mirrored the teachings of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.Uncle Sam's journey on this earth was marked by kindness, generosity, and a steadfast dedication to serving others. He was a man who not only spoke of his faith but lived it daily. His love for God was evident in the way he treated everyone he met—with compassion, respect, and genuine concern. He was quick to lend a helping hand, offer a comforting word, and provide support to those in need, reflecting the love of Christ in all his actions. As we remember Uncle Sam, we are comforted by the promise of eternal life. We know that he is now in the presence of our Heavenly Father, experiencing the peace and joy that surpasses all understanding. Revelation 21:4 assures us that "He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away." We hold onto this promise, finding solace in the hope of a glorious reunion in heaven.Though our hearts are heavy with grief, we also rejoice in the legacy Uncle Sam leaves behind—a legacy of faith, love, and service. He touched countless lives, and his impact will continue to be felt for generations to come. His memory will forever be cherished in our hearts, and his spirit will live on in the lives of those he loved and inspired. Rest in peace, Uncle. You have fought the good fight, you have finished the race, and you have kept the faith. We will always love you and cherish your memory until we meet again in the glorious presence of our Lord. Amen.

It’s tough to believe that I am at this time writing a tribute! Dear Papa, papa, as I fondly called you. I don’t have the perfect words to express how the sad news of your exit makes me feel. I know we are comforted by the word of God, and for a certainty we will meet again. You were a great man! More than a father inlaw, you were my dad and friend. Very compassionate and caring. Thank you so much for loving me and my family expressly. Thank you for being a great example of a father figure. You always showed up for us no matter the occasion or the distance, you always called, you always prayed, you always asked to make sure we were doing okay and living in peace and love. I thank God specially for the opportunity we had to spend time with you recently. We were reminded of how big a heart you have and how much you loved God. You were genuinely interested in the affairs of everyone you came in contact with. I remember how so many people trooped in with gifts to honor you, all as a testimony of the positive impact you had on many. We have so many great and fond memories. Memories that we will cherish until we meet at the coming of our lord Jesus. The Bible says in 2cor 5:8.”To be absent from the body and to be present with the lord” I am glad this is your testimony. We will miss you greatly, we love you forever. Annie, Eboselu and Osose
